At the Goshen Center, we work to advance the health and well-being of children in Israel. Our goal is to support their physical and emotional development by developing and implementing innovative programs and conducting research. We build meaningful partnerships among community pediatrics, the healthcare system, and partners across government, local authorities, civil society, and academia.
What we do
Training for Community Care Practitioners
At Goshen, we equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical tools to identify and address challenges in community pediatrics. Our training focuses on child development, mental health, and the psychosocial and behavioral factors that impact children’s well-being.
This enables professionals to deliver holistic, informed, and tailored care to every child.
Research
To drive systemic change in pediatric healthcare, we conduct a wide range of studies focused on the structure and quality of health services, the social determinants of health, and health inequities.
Our research also explores the needs of children and parents, as well as new models of community-based pediatric care.
Making Knowledge Accessible to Parents
Our knowledge portal – Eich Gadalta! (Look How You’ve Grown!) – is a unique platform that offers medical, developmental, and emotional information for parents of children of all ages. On the portal, you can find short articles, videos, and practical tools, all tailored to Israeli culture and law and available in both Hebrew and Arabic.
Partnerships & Policy Advocacy
We work to advance systemic change in public policy to promote community-based pediatric care by fostering strategic collaborations with the Ministry of Health, Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), academic institutions, and civil society organizations; developing position papers and policy recommendations; and publishing reports and articles while participating in professional conferences.

תכנית מערכתית לחיזוק יכולתן של מרפאות ילדים לזהות ולטפל במצבי חשש להזנחה או פגיעה. התכנית פועלת בתוך השגרה הקלינית, מכשירה צוותים רב־מקצועיים לעבודה ואחריות משותפת, ומפתחת שגרות עבודה ותמיכה פנים וחוץ ארגונית.
יוזמה לאומית של משרד הבריאות וקופות החולים, המטמיעה בטיפות החלב מודל של שותפות בין הצוותים להורים. המודל מחזק את הקשר עם ההורים, במגוון אפיקי למידה ופעילות. מתוך תפיסה שהקשבה וליווי מותאם אישית מחוללים שינוי משמעותי לטווח ארוך.
תכניות הכשרה והטמעה לחיזוק היכולת של צוותים רפואיים בקהילה לזהות מצוקה רגשית ולהעניק עזרה ראשונית מותאמת ומשמעותית וכן הפניה חכמה במידת הצורך. בשיתוף עם כלל קופות החולים, משרד הבריאות וארגונים מובילים בתחום.
